is it just me. intake resonator

Here's the deal. When I bought my prelude bone stock, I drove it for a few months with the intake resonator on. It was quick and enough torque. I decided to do a resnoator delete, I was sort of hooked on the sound and I never realized my 0- to whatever lower rpm before 3000, is noticeably different. (Loss in torque). Does that sound right or is there something I did wrong. Any thoughts? I really can't feel any difference in high rpm also.

Edit: above was written on my phone. my apologies. during this period, my catalytic convertor went out on me too so i went with an OE Magnaflow cat. Could also be it too. But if anyone who is knowledgeable could help, it would be kind.
