OIL :(

ok so just like to add i just finished cleaning my egr valve and im happy it was a success so i just want everyone to know lol... but i got under the car because my oil level on the dipstick keeps getting abnormally lower and its just not being normal. but the place where the oil drain is had oil all over it. its not pouring or anything and it wasnt even dripping while i was under i tryed to turn the car on and went under again and still nothing not movement no dripping or anything. if i keep the car parked for a couple days ill see small drops on the ground. what can it be from !!

Re: OIL :(

if it is your oil pan gasket buy a fel pro brand gasket and some indian head shellac gasket sealer, apply it to both surfaces and it will never leak a drop.

Re: OIL :(

Is the oil only on the oil pan or is there more spots coming from above?

Re: OIL :(

5th gens dont have an actual gasket just a liquid one.

if its the drop the pan and re seal it with honda ultra flange II you have to use ultra flange other stuff will cause it to leak..also theres a special way to remove it and re install it thats in the helms manual.

Re: OIL :(

check all the ft engine seals too, like the crank seal, oil pump seal, cam seals, rear main seal, all of the above were leaking on mine plus the oil pan gasket, changed them all and now it is dry as a bone under there.. oh yeah also valve cover gasket and distributor o ring.
