Re: CEL code PLEASE HELP!

You should be able to find it in a resource thread or google it. They are just generic codes for all makes.

P1298 Electrical Load Detector Circuit High Input
P1361 Intermittent Interruption In TDC 1 Sensor Circuit

There you go mate,

sounds like you might have thrown a timing belt

Re: CEL code PLEASE HELP!

definitely sounds like wiring. Check for the obvious visual stuff first, corrosion, any cuts or holes in the wiring insulation and then start using a multimeter to check the voltage drop, continuity and resistance for all the connectors and wiring.

I don't know usually a misfire code is what you see for faulty wires that TDC sensor is why I was saying the timing belt. But your right, start small and work your way up.

Plus too I don't know his or her car's maintenance and know about how long its been for a timing belt replacement job. safe to say though if its been around 75K to 100K. I am still saying its the timing belt

Re: CEL code PLEASE HELP!

Today I took the valve cover off and checked the timing belt. Its fine so I that narrowed it down to the tdc sensor or wiring issue. I checked the harness and everything seams sealed and nothing is grounding so I believe its the sensor.
