Yes, Or no?

I was thinking of doing a purp/black look for my black lude, my thoughts are

Gold, or black+purp rims
i have purple neons,
Black interior kit,
Purple lighting throughout the inside
I don't know what else to do ? D:

Another thing, Anybody have a turbo'd lude?

how does it run?

Re: Yes, Or no?

And also do I have to modify my engine to add a turbo? I was reading up, and it said on a "built" Motor it can do 25+ psi , but on stock engine only 8 psi?

with enough money you can do anything. building a turbo car or just making a car faster is not cheap at all

I understand that, but I mean, Can I just buy a turbo (all the parts needed) And put it in? Or do I have to modify my engine some how? Is it bad for it if I were to just stick a turbo in there?

Re: Yes, Or no?

if you have to ask then it's probably not the right thing to be doing.
if you've read that you can run only 8psi on a stock motor then you probably want to be doing research on why it can only run 8 instead of 25
if you in general want to turbo your lude then do your research, it's not a 1 hr decision. you have to plan and budget.

i haven't pieced together a turbo for any car but i'm just thinking from a general standpoint and what i've read/heard about boosting.

plain and simple. do your research before making an impulse buy

well then you can watch it but if you start the thing and drive, you probably blow your engine on your first mile

Re: Yes, Or no?

Neon? I thought it was 2011, not 2001. Lol do you man, whatever you think looks the best in your eyes.

As for boost, dude.. Research as much as possible. It costs a bunch and if you cheap out your car will crap out on you.

Good luck.

you could but the question is should you? my friend had a boosted prelude with stock H22 with a good tune over 300whp. he didnt have any problems but im sure he never drove it like an idiot to blow the motor

Re: Yes, Or no?

There is a bunch of things you could do to "make it faster" Doing your research would be the first of them, but you could completely build the motor from bottom to top, get a tune up, do I/H/E(3" all the way back has been proven on the dyno, and so has the AEM V2), you could check out other member's ride's(98vtec,ogsmakedade,akaprepreludesh are all users that come to mind there) and other threads on the site, Do more research....Need I go on? There's many resources on here, on the interwebs, in books, and magazines. If you're new to car stuff, then start picking up issues of Modified mag...they've always got great articles on how-to stuff, and cars built by ordinary people like us, on a budget(unlike some mags I know...Not knockin' on em, Just saying). Anyway, there are plenty of resources out there, so use em, use em, use em. Oh, and btw....there are also resource guides on here as well, so be sure to check those out. Godspeed on whatever you decide to do.

Re: Yes, Or no?

Why are we entertaining this? Your car, make it look the way you want.

Any decent turbo kit will cost anywhere from $2500-3500. The diy setup will cost more, but will be catered to what you want. There are tricks to cutting the budget, but you need to research. 8psi is a waste of the turbo kit.

Just do some stage one mods and leave it alone. When you're ready, you'll do it without asking.
