5th Gen Exhaust Suggestions?

So I'm looking in to several exhaust systems and reading up on them on various places. I've checked out the Greddy Racing Ti-C exhaust: (GReddy), the Magnaflow system: (Amazon.com: Magnaflow 15686 Stainless Steel 2.25" Single Cat-Back Exhaust System: Automotive), and the Skunk2 exhaust: (Skunk2 Racing: 1997-01 PRELUDE NON-SH).

Do you guys have any suggestions or other systems I should check out? I'm looking for a nice deep sound and definitely nothing that sounds like a fart-can or a baseball card in bike spokes. Thanks guys!

Re: 5th Gen Exhaust Suggestions?

Go with the Magnaflow. One of the better quality systems. The GReddy is good also, but I would go with the Magnaflow. I would tell you to look into Flowmaster, but they unfortunately don't have a full system (they only have a cat-back). But ultimately, you make the decision on what you see from youtube vids and your personal preference

Re: 5th Gen Exhaust Suggestions?

That buddy club sounds pretty dang sick. Is the magnaflow worth the money compared to the more expensive Greddy system?

Ive always liked the buddy club.

Other than that I would look into the apexi ws2 and the greddy evo2.

Re: 5th Gen Exhaust Suggestions?

Before you consider changing your exhaust configuration, you should take a second to appreciate what you have. As tested by Car@ Driver in December 1999, your Prelude in stock form is capable of producing a pure, hp derived sound level as high as 79 db as measured on the inside of your car. These aftermarket exhaust create a non hp derived increase in sound effect that to many come off as nothing more then a lot of annoying racket. So if your into listening to the mechanical bliss of your engine, impressing friends and neighbors, scaring small children by the side of the road, or impressing that hot chick on the corner all you have to do is just let the revs build and don't up shift. Its as simple as that.

wow........
OP, go on youtube and search for sound clips of the exhaust you're interested in. If you're looking for a stock look, then check out Thermal R&D. Tanabe also has some great products. It's all about personal preference, man. Good luck on your decision.

Re: 5th Gen Exhaust Suggestions?

I'm gonna start banning people who create exhaust threads, this is getting ridiculous.
