I want to do gasket work.

Well I've gotten some money saved up, and I really want to go spend them on gaskets, at least the gaskets that are easy to remove and the some-what intermediate gaskets to remove. I don't want to do anything hardcore like removing the head gasket, as I do not trust myself yet with doing that. What would be the most common gaskets to do?

I'm also seeing some sort of oil leak at the base where the transmission and engine block mate. Could this be a rear main seal leak or what?

oh fudge, well I'm going to have to change it out eventually. I guess I'll put my knowledge to the test and attempt to drop and replace the seal. :[
