What have you've done so far to eliminate the vibrations? We need input!

Re: wheel bearings

a wheel bearing test is a simple as jacking the front and later the back and wiggling the wheels. if there is play and the wheels move a bit, your wheel bearing are going bad. Also vibration can be caused by warped rotors.

the warped rotors would only be if your braking (unless there hella F'd up). why don't people understand that?

Re: wheel bearings

umm because vibrations happened to me when increasing in speeds, and it wasnt the wheel bearings but the back rotors being warped pretty bad. so i just changed out the back rotors and pads and that fixed it.

Re: wheel bearings

well where are they on the front end!!! i have tried new rims and tires suspension half shafts, it all started when i replaced half shafts, suspension, and exhaust, tried the wiggling of the tire and there is no play so i was staying away from bearings but now that's the last thing there is. i've posted other threads and didn't get anywhere so still searching for an answer i've gone over part breakdowns looking for a small part that could be causing the sound, sometimes it almost sounds like a helicopter, oh and it pretty much only happens at 4,000 rpm every now and then at a lower but i can always get it to happen at 4,000. thanks in advance for all replies

Re: wheel bearings

Chock the rear tires, lift the front with a jack, with a plate so you can raise it by the cross member then turn on the car and put it in drive. Have a competent friend slowly speed the car up until you hear the noise. If it makes no noise, you need to fix your camber or toe, you have rubbing. If it makes noise see where it's coming from. From what you're saying, the shop that swapped the half shafts did a piss poor job. Let us know. Does the car make the noise turning?

Re: wheel bearings

no noise turning and i already had the alignment done, and it only does it when under pressure or under torque
