Idle control valve - check if it's clean. As well as try adjusting your throttle cable

I have the exact same problem, seems like it started happening after I cleaned the IACV, I re-cleaned it again and replaced the gasket for it, still same problem.

try screwing in the yellowish gasket thing inside of your FITV, removed my idle problems in a snap

My car had a surging idle until I screwed said FITV thingy back in, and now it idles way too low. It shudders sometimes and the lights dim when push the clutch in, but after idling low for a few seconds it returns to about 800-1000

Try adjusting it again or via throttle cable

I have 97 honda prelude it does the samething even worse while ac is running. I tried cleaning everything checked a lot of the sensors nothing worked. So i did a compression test bad news very low... So bad news it could mean bent valves which means means rebuild your motor. Your looking at about a thousand in that case. hope that helps. If someone has more to add my ears are open still learning
