Throttle Body Question

What is this hole and where does it lead to? When I cover it up with my finger, my searching idle smooths out.

I think that goes to the EGR nipple that comes out the top?

Re: Throttle Body Question

Now that I know that covering this hole with my finger will smooth my idle, how do I smooth my idle out for good? Since I obviously can't keep my finger there while I'm driving...
Would cleaning the egr port plugs do me any good?

Re: Throttle Body Question

Lol I actually have this question posted on that thread. No answers so I thought making a new thread would get some more attention and my question answered.
If the top one goes to the IACV, where does the bottom one go?

yes and don't just clean your fitv, make sure you follow the instructions and screw it in properly but not completely tight.

Re: Throttle Body Question

how do i check to see if my fitv is broken?
i just tried screwin it all the way down, more than half a turn out back, and half a turn out. they all gave me a searching idle.
also, that top hole was sucking air like crazy. i could even hear the air whooshing into the hole.
this blows.

ludezilla, i've already cleaned out the iacv, and it's still surging. why is that upper hole sucking in so much air?
