Tall Man Friendly?

Im looking to purchase myself a prelude because I hear they are great cars, One major concern I have is that I am a relatively tall person 6"2 180 Pounds. Am i gonna be cramped like hell in this car?

I'm 6'6" and have no issues. Fifth gens are mostly 2 seaters anyway... Brian(prelude1897) is 6'5" 6'6"ish as well. Just slam the seat back and recline!

Back seats = useless. Only reason they put them there is to probably save on insurance or w/e. I keep my seats either down or I throw crap like clothing back there.

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

even if you do have headroom issues, pick up some legit s2000 seats. they'll sit lower and they're much more comfortable from what i've heard

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

I'm 6'3" and getting in isn't so bad as getting out, but once you're in all is well. I owned a 97 Integra GSR and that car was not catered to taller people at all, getting in was a pain, getting out was a pain and adjusting the seat and steering wheel in any comfortable manner was impossible.

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

I own a 4th Gen, it's still plenty roomy inside, the only gripe is that the steering wheel doesn't have a lot of vertical adjustment so if you're more tall in your legs than your torso it might be difficult to get comfortable.

They're definitely comfortable... but have you sat in an S2000? I'm 5'10 and I drove my friends S2K. Had to put the seat all the way back and recline it. Still felt a bit tight.

Six foot even here. She fits like a glove. With the OEM seats moderately reclined and all the way back there is at least 1.5" - 2" room above my head.

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

Awesome, I will be able to get in the car with flying colors, looks like there is a fair bit of tall guys on this forum, Good stuff!

Another question, How do these cars fare in the winter, with winter tires, or without without winter tires. Manitoba winters can get rough here in Canada. Can anyone that has experienced winter in their lude tell me?

Thanks

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

Yay. Another Canadian Luder:)

I drive mine all season here in Ottawa. We had about 35cm of snow one day. Still drove it. The ATTS works wonderful when taking corners in the snow. As long as you take caution you'd be fine. I lowered my car this year so I'll have to pull off my whole lip kit in order to drive it this winter.

LOL, yea just have to have the seat reclined and not sitting straight up like you're driving a truck. I've been driving Preludes for 10 years with no issues

Re: Tall Man Friendly?

I'm 6'3" 185 and I fit in a 5th gen easily and comfortable. My 4th gen, the rear seats are useless besides the use of a trunk... A ton of space in it for me.
