Icon5 Bent passenger side CV shaft, vibration in turns

Hi Everybody

When I gun my lude though a left turn (for example the light goes green and no cars in front) I get vibration though the steering. Also, every once in a while I get very minor vibe during straight line acceleration.

While doing brakes recently I noticed that my right axle looks bent, specifically the mid-section. No signs of impact and the boots seem ok, the midsection just isn't straight. Can that be the cause of the vibration?

Тhe tires are 2 weeks old and ride perfectly. Also I did front rotors/pads a week ago and everything is good there. Besides none of these things affected the vibes.

Also, any words of wisdom on what to do with the axle? I.e. get a reman one, aftermarket, etc...

Thanks a bunch.

Re: Bent passenger side CV shaft, vibration in turns

thats the point of axles, they're supposed to bend/articulate to accommodate for the suspensions travel.

the two ends of the axle, coming outta the tranny and wheel hubs, are supposed to be (for all intents and purposes) parallel to the ground, then the axle bends at both boots which means the mid section of the axle is always rotating up and down centered at the inner boot.

Is it the rod connecting the two flexible parts of the axel bent? Pictures would help in this case.

Yes, it's the rod between cv joints, doesn't look straight.
Let me see if I have any pics...

EDIT: no pictures, maybe I can snap one tonight. I am attaching a crude illustration.
EDIT #2: There is no vibration when coasting at any speed.

Re: Bent passenger side CV shaft, vibration in turns

Shot a couple of videos last night:

Left axle:

Right axle:

Looks like the right one is more off-center and looks newer. I wonder it if's a cheap replacement like FEQ or something.

Anyhow, at this level, can it cause vibration in turns?
Interestingly they seem balanced because I don't have high speed vibration.
