Icon8 I need help fixing my precious prelude!

Sup guys and gals,

I'm new to this site. I have a 98 Honda Prelude with Vtec, not SH type. I don't know why i didn't sign up earlier. Ha-ha. Well, let's get down to car business. Can someone help me out? What do i do? Here's the problem, my Hot / Cold Bar keeps on going up to HOT when I'm stopped at a light or when the car is not in motion. And when i start driving again the bar goes down. What does that mean? I've been checking my fluids lately, ever since i've been having this problem. And i notice that i have to keep on refilling the radiator with anti-freeze every 2-3 days or so. I've replaced both radiator tubes thinking that was the problem, but its keeps on happening. I'm all out of ideas. I really dont know much about cars and i dont want to take it to someone that i dont know and get ripped off. Can someone help me with my situation? I really need to fix this problem. I depend on my car to get me to work everyday. Please Help!

Thank you for your time!

James

confirmed, could have a hole in the radiator somewhere causeing you to lose water, if you weren't losing water then i would say check the fans to make sure they were working properly because that could make it heat up while sitting in traffic

that could be the case if it's leakin out on the ground. it could be a slightly breached head gasket and you could be burning it. Do you have any smoke issues? (beyond that of the normal h series oil blow by)

This is my guess although I hope it's not the problem.
Are you seeing any fluid on the ground at all anywhere? Do you smell burning fluid when you open the hood after driving?
