OBD2?

I can't seem to find the a solid answer if a 2000 base has an obd2 or not. So just needed to know if it does or not before getting some equipment.

Re: OBD2?

It's on the passenger side in the middle console.. You have to remove the little carpet piece on the side... The reader is blue

Yep.. And late 95 for the Japanese preludes

If you have a check engine light on a obd2 then just take it to advance auto or autozone and they will check it for free

That's cool. I would rather have it checked for free but it would cool to do it with your phone..

Post pics or video of the app and how it works when you get one

You can get a bluetooth OBD2 adapter for about $20 shipped on eBay. The Andoid app Torque connects to the adapter and uses the engine data for real-time calculations/displays of mpg, torque, speed, ect.

I use that setup with my Droid, and it's definitely worth the $25 investment.

Re: OBD2?

Since I made the poor choice to switch from a Droid X to an iPhone - does this app you guys are talking about clear codes as well? Is it just one way coms capable or can it talk to the car as well?

I've been looking for more reasons to get rid of this POS iPhone. Such garbage.

Ya, it lets you both check and clear the codes.

I feel like an iPhone would be waaaay to restricting after being so used to an Android phone. Get one of the new 4G LTE phones that are coming out (assuming you're on Verizon) and sell that iPhone. Or if you want to switch carriers, the Evo 3D is coming out on Sprint soon
