Picked up some new rims... need advice

Hey guys I picked up a set of 17 inch wheels, they measure 8 inches in width, would i have any problems putting them on if I got 215-45-17 tires? I just dont want it to rub. I have a stock suspension, not lowered or anything. Let me know what you guys think. Here are some pics...

They are from a G35 Coupe

That's what I thought too...

You'll be fine with 215/45/17. Hopefully your offsets around above +40 though.

Is there a way to find out what the offset will be before they're mounted on the car? The cars suspension and wheels are currently (and always have been) bone stock. Currently @ 71k, would hate to break something. Do you guys think doing this will increase the wear on the suspension? Or is there no way to tell?

Re: Picked up some new rims... need advice

Usually in the rim it will have the dimensions of the rim Something like 17x8 and then +45 or something like that.

Cool thanks, I looked at it and it says 17x7 JJ then under that it says TT 45, I'm assuming that means its 45 offset? what exactly does that mean? I decided to get 205/45/17 Bridgestone tires.

EDIT: I measured the wheels in every way possible to see which ones are staggered, they are all the exact same -_- I looked on the inside of the rim they all say 17x7 so I guess I got 4 front wheels off of a G35 lol not complaining though, I would rather them not be staggered since its a FWD car anyways.

If they all say that then your not staggered. It's 17x7 +45 then. Weird setup for a G35 since those things run some wide rims/tires.

Re: Picked up some new rims... need advice

you will have no problems. Stock ride height can fit like 18x7.5-8 no problem or rubbing issues. especially with a stock set of wheels. you should be good :)

Re: Picked up some new rims... need advice

Sounds good guys, I'll be mounting them tomorrow morning I'll be sure to take pics. The Honda center caps are too big for these rims so i'm going to take them out until I find some other creative solution, or maybe just leave it w/o a center cap. Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Picked up some new rims... need advice

Here are some pics of the final product, wheels fit on the car without a problem. Steering feels a tad bit lighter, its nice. The tires were a pain in the ass to get on though. Enjoy...
