Icon2 infamous intakes...

I'm new 2 the site btw.. Lol but n e ways I was just wondering I rarely hear about some of the under dog CAI systems out on the market. I was just wondering has anyone ever bought the K&N typoon cai system n ever see wat the gains are vs stock? I can't seem to find any dyno results from 5th gen owners besides the dyno that k&n displayed saying there's a 7 to 11 hp gain. Also haven't heard much of injen .. Used to rock that back in my 98 maxima. Lol n anyone ever see the new V2 system out ? Full CAI system that actually hides behind the front bumper instead of the battery? Just tryin 2 clear up some info n some results in intake systems thinkin about going v2 but if there's something better out I rather go all out.

I have an AEM blue. I have heard that iceman produces a real nice intake.

I do not recommend K & N. They are not the best out there. I have heard that they are only good for trucks and american cars.

K&N is good stuff, i have to agree.

I dont have experience with the typhoon intake, but i've purchased at least 5 K&N drop in air filters and each time they impress.

K&N is top of the line, particularly their filters. You mentioned Injen, that's my personal preference. When money is available, my intake set up will be Injen with BPi flowstack and K&N filter since I won't be able to use the Injen filter than comes with the intake.

I read an article one time time where they did a hi-po import(forget which one) and they tried all the intakes available and the typhoon, was the second to last. The top was AEM, then Injen. Everyone I know with a typhoon, has an american car.

v2 barely made more power than the stock intake with the stock filter.

^ maybe with most things it was just mental, but in combination with the header and full exhaust that I installed at the same time it sure seemed better. I certainly sounded better.

you felt the header and exhaust then. The V2 just made more noise.
