Unless this mod is part 1 of a series of engine mods that demand the need for a different exhaust configuration, I would just stick with the stock configuration thats optimized to work with the other parts of your engine.Unless you are knowledgeable of the physics behind exhaust systems, you run the risk of encountering problems like the one detailed below in a previous thread if you start Frankensteining your exhaust.

Re: EXHAUST PIPING

KTeller has the full piping kit with all hangers, flanges and clamps for $215-$238 (stainless steel which is what you'd want. They have aluminized steel too but dont go there) Depending on what size you want. 2.25"-3".
You could order than and choose the resonator and muffler and tip and such you'd want at your local exhaust shop and they can weld it all and install it for you.

KTeller Exhaust Piping Kits - KTeller - Service | Integrity | Honesty

That is a link to the 2.5" piping kit. Hope this helps.

And SHDRIVER, do you know how cars operate?? I'm glad you love your lude and all it's stockness but you WILL get more power from bigger exhaust piping and such if done correctly. Plain and simple. Do everyone a favor and please stop your anti-mod posts.

Do you have the 2.5" or 3" piping? What headers and muffler and tip you run?

How much did all that set ya back including installation if a shop did it...? If ya dont mind me asking...

I'm looking to put the hytech replica header with 3" piping in too. Haven't decided on resonators and such, but dont want to spend a fortune on my exhaust

Of course I got a few mechanical things to fix before I know what I can afford but nothing big. I'd like to be around $1000 installed...

Re: EXHAUST PIPING

As annoying as that guy may be, one part of his post was a good point...don't do what the example he gave did and give it to the shop without knowing what they're going to do. That being said....Upsluder, in case you haven't heard, is our Ride of the month....so this guy really knows what he's talking about. All this talk makes me kind of want a completely new exhaust system. I love my Flowmaster and everything, but it's doing nothing for power...just providing the sound that the car is currently capable of making. So in conclusion, if you've got the money, go with what UPS said.

custom setups can add up quick. if you want to go a cheaper route, look into a cat back prebent set up...cant go wrong with those. they might not net as much power, but they are easier on the wallet, and simple to bolt on...

Do you know what the change was in the dyno? How much more did you gain by doing this setup?
