Crazy Idle

So my Lude bounces between 850-1200 RPM in park after I drive it for a bit. I have a CEL on, p0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), which I think is probably the culprit.

Comments guys?

I changed my spark plugs 4 months ago. I checked my spark plugs wires last night, and they all had about the same resistance, so I'm thinking those are ok. I should probably replace them anyways, along with the dizzy and rotor, since I'm hittin 110,000 miles soon...

Re: Crazy Idle

The idle goes up, then back down over and over? This sort of think happened to me, it was cooling system related. After I replaced the coolant and bled the system, everything was okay.

Re: Crazy Idle

agree with afrotec... Most likely thats a coolant problem. Pour coolant in and bleed it good. and you should be good from there

Re: Crazy Idle

about the coolant, it's found in the white tank located directly in front of the stock battery position in the fifth gen right? I just checked it and I'm not running low at all.

^^^ what he said, its often overlooked b/c some people on forums will tell you that 97+ hondas do not have fitv. check it out you might find your problem, plus it's a 10-15 minute fix that i would do regardless.

Re: Crazy Idle

I had a coolant leak and that caused my car's idle to fluctuate. After repairing that and bleeding the system it stopped that issue.
