Door Jam

I let my aunt borrow my car, and now the passenger door won't open. The seat belt buckle is stuck in between the closed door and the frame. The door won't budge at all, no matter how hard I push or pull at it.

Any suggestions as to how I can get the door open without breaking anything?

Re: Door Jam

Does it fill like it is unlatching when you pull or lift the handle?

Seat belt shouldn't make it stick...

no don't do that. if you're getting zero resistance when pulling the door handle (either side) that means something is broken or the link between the door handle and the latch mechanism came loose.. you're going to have to take the door panel off.. but i don't think you can do that with the door closed. you might need to take it somewhere.

Re: Door Jam

I fixed it guys, thanks for all the feedback. I held the handle in the open position while a buddy pushed/pulled it until it gave way.

Re: Door Jam

I'm having the same problem I literally have to yank it open. It feels like its sticking really bad cuz it will open like and inch and I have to yank/push hard on it. I've looked it over, should I take door panel off??
