weird issue with headlights... please help

Alright, I've got a 2000 Prelude. Ive gone from stock headlights with halogens to stock with retro-fitted 12000k Hids to stock with halogens again and then to stock with 20000k hids, then to halos with halogens and now i have the halo projectors with 12000k hids in em. The Hids are realy bright now and are actauly aimed where they should be (unlike the were in the retro-fitted stock headlights). But the problem Ive had with every set of bulbs and with the new and old headlights, is the drivers side light is brighter everytime. The drivers side is perfectly colored and shines very bright. However the passenger side Headlight is slightly discolored(almost pinkish in color instead of the blue/purple) and isnt as wide or bright. Its not the bulbs because Ive changed bulbs maybe 8 times and that side is always like this. And its also not the headlights themselves because its the same with stock and halos. So does anyone know what could be causing this? any help would be greatly appreciated

you might have to much resistance in the wiring causing a limited amount of power to go through..equalling dimmer bulb..if anything check it by giving power directly to the light itself closed circuit..if it gets bright like the driver side then you know you have a wiring issue, if not then you know it is within that lighting unit.

Re: weird issue with headlights... please help

try changing the ballast, switch your right and left ballast to see if the problem occurs, but on the other bulb

Do you have a relay harness attached to those hids? This occurs in a alot of vehicles that I put HIDs in; the relay harness evens out the power output I guess. When I didn't have the relay, the passenger side was dimmer and the bulb would blow after a few months.

Those Hids lights seem to have little tic tac issues, they worth the pain?

The three sets in my car are all run off of a relay and I honestly never did see a difference in the brightness or color on either side. That being said - I love them. It's like driving while the sun is out but at night.
