Looking to run 17x8.5

I'm looking to run some wide rims. Sizes will be 17x8.5 all around with +45 offset. The tires that will be on them will be 205/45/17. I know that's some extreme stretching but I'm for looks. Anyone running 17x8.5 that can help me out? Will I be rolling fenders? Will I have any clearing issues? My car is lowered on Neuspeed Race so my tires on my 17x7 already tuck.

I know biglegs is running 17x8.5 so feel free to comment.

Mainly for the looks and the ability to get a bigger polished lip.

Re: Looking to run 17x8.5

i have no rubbing issues. if i hit a dip i still dont bottom out but im not slammed though, i have a finger gap all around. also, im running 215's but you can stretch the 205's no problem. i do have clearance issues, but nothing i cant get around or over carefully. (mainly from the 3" exhaust)

you will need to trim the tabs for sure, but you might be able to get away without rolling the fenders. i do have a +42 offset, so i dont know how big a difference the +45 will be. also, i dont use camber kits. no real need for them. just get your toe as close to 0 as possible, and a slight neg camber and you should be set.

Re: Looking to run 17x8.5

I'm running no camber either but I have a 2.5inch drop in the front. I'm just worried about hitting the wheel well when I hit a bump but my suspension is stiff. Which tabs are you taking about trimming?

Re: Looking to run 17x8.5

Just ordered VS-XX replica's. They're 17x8.5 with +45 offset. Going to be running 205/45/17. Wish me luck:P

This is what the rims look like. I'm worried it'll look really small when I put them on because of the lip but I can't afford new tires for 18" :P

I'll have pics up later on. Shipment of rims should be in next Wednesday and I'll most likely have them mounted by Friday.
