Re: p28 and jumper harness

You can get these from Ebay or a trusted source such as: Phearable.net - Electronic Fuel Injection Tuning Solutions - Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberdata, Ectune, AEM, Honda Tuning, Widebands, Fuel Pumps, Intercoolers, Turbos, LS/VTEC, ECU Chipping, Chipped Ecus, P28

Personally, I bought my ecu off craigslist and my jumper harness off Ebay for a combined total of $100. still works fine til this day. But be extremely careful when buying from craigslist. Unfortunately people like to try and scam you.

Re: p28 and jumper harness

Mayyy wanna wait a decide what exactly yo wanna do.. cuz going to a p28 yes will alow you to have it tuned, by a professional tuner. but it also disables your ATTS..

where as there are some piggy back systems that will retain your atts system. (not sure on exactly which one, as i have a base. and running a p28)

Re: p28 and jumper harness

Yea I'm not worried about the atts it hasn't been working for awhile I took it to honda and they wanted to charge way to much to fix it but do i have to get a whole new ecu or can i just get the p28 chip and use it on my ecu with a jumper harness?

ok to start off, p28 isnt a chip, its a ecu. just like a p72, or p30. p28 is just one of the most commonly used ecu's. like i said, i have it in my car. but either way your tuner should be able to chip and tune it for you.

so yes, you'll need a chipped p28 ecu, and a jumper harness. and then also gonna need a tuner to tune your ecu. honestly your best bet would be find a local shop near you, ask around find out who has the best rep, and fits you and your budget best. they should be able to take care of you completely.

Re: p28 and jumper harness

so getting a p28 ecu and obd2a to obd1 jumper will start the car but in ordder to make it run properly you need to get it tuned ? or will it run alright and will a unchipped key start the key since p28 has no immobilzer?

Re: p28 and jumper harness

bigger throttle body with stock intake manifold gives you only problems.
try take it out

and btw, with p28 your stock intake manifold doesnt work right, you need p72
however, I dont see why you need to tune your stock engine. Theres no point of doing that,
you dont get noticiable power or anything. I bet that your car problems go away when you
put stock TB back on (or if you have ruined your stock TB, good luck man to get your car ever work with it)
