Bad gas mileage?

My CEL came on about a week ago. I pulled my ECU fuse and got rid of it and then forgot all about it. I have a feeling it's my O2 sensor. Anyone know how to check it/replace it? I really can't be bothered to try to sift through the owner's manual.
I also could not find any decent threads on the subject.
Someone mind telling me where the O2 sensor is?
Also, when I first start the car, it rumbles MAD hard for about 3 seconds, then smooths out.

I've noticed horrible gas mileage for the past week, and I'm sure it's because of this CEL and the O2 sensor.

Sorry I'm a noob. :D
Any help is appreciated.

Try changing your plugs and wires.

if you can bother to post a thread and read it you can easily search for your answers. laziness is not a good excuse merely a poor mark of your character. why should we do your work for you?

you should pull the code before you do anything to the car, no sense trying to fix the unkown.
you can read how to do this in the5th gen resource guide or the shop manual. easily searchable. once you pull the code get back to us and the problem can be accurately diagnosed.

the o2 sensors are on the exhaust piping, one before and one after the cat. so no an after market intake will not fix your problem

Sorry bud.

Thanks for the post. Guess I'll get the CEL checked by Autozone or something.

Re: Bad gas mileage?

Sounds like it could be the o2 sensor. If it one of the o2 sensors then it's an easy fix.

At least it's not one of those "I ignored my CEL and now I have a valve welded to a piston. HELPPPZZZSZOR!" threads.

Re: Bad gas mileage?

Could be your cat as well. Prelude's catalytic converters known to fail. I replaced both my o2 sensors then finding out I had to replace the cat.
