New slippage?

Now that it is getting warmer out I am having a clutch issue I think...everything is great when the car is cold, shifts tight and no slipping but after about an hour of driving or so I pretty much lose all my bite. Got so bad the other day had to pull it off to the side of road because it would not go in any gear. Let it sit for about 30 minutes and drove it home? The only real change that I have noticed is that the longer I drive the car the firmer the pedal gets? I have tried bleeding the clutch thinking I had a bubble or something but no diff. Tried adjusting the pedal because it almost seems like I need more freeplay in it ... little to none after the car gets warmed up .... but can't adjust it anymore, gonna need longer studs coming out of the master cyl if I need more pedal. I have some big fat spacers behind the pedal now that I put in after the 5 speed swap. Hoping this is a minor thing because I really do not want to pull the trans out again... Any other ideas before I rip it all out? ......
Now a member of the wonderful 5 speed club!!
