Reset Red Light

Hey all,

You know how there is a maintenance required box on the bottomo of the speedomotor. I was wondering how to reset that. It is showing up red, and i know i need to get an oil change, but I would like to be able to reset it if that is the problem.

I was also wondering where the plug in for the module reader, the one that gives you eror codes if there is a problem? any body know where that is located?

Russ

Re: Reset Red Light

Insert your key in the slot by the indicator. It's a simple push to reset.
The OBDII scan port is located behind the small triangular carpet covered piece on the front of the passenger side of the console.

Re: Reset Red Light

It turns red around every 7k miles. It's not a light either, it's a small wheel that spins as your mileage goes up.

As everyone else stated - just use your key and press into the little slot to the left of it.

Re: Reset Red Light

Thanxs guys,

One question i did have though is if it turns red ever 7k miles, what maintenance needs to be done. My car is at approx 130000, and when i bought it didnt have the owners manual.
