sometimes coming from a complete stop the shifter won't go into first gear or it'll just be hard gettin it in gear, sometimes its smoothe though. today i was in a parking lot and it took me bout 5-10 tries before it finally went into first

Most Hondas are known for that to happen in first always. I usually put it in second gear then put it back in first. Check your fluids to see if they are low could be your problem...

or put it in reverse then first. if either of these fix the issue then as far as i know, nothing is wrong and thats the way some hondas are as mentioned above.

Re: sometimes the gear shifter won't go into first

Mine does the same thing, although mine may not be a representative of the general population of hondas, seeing as my pressure plate is very mad at me right now.

What I do when I come to a stop, is shift into neutral and let off the clutch. (Which is good anyway cuz if your sitting there with your foot holding in the clutch, you're putting a lot of pressure on the thrust bearings on your crank) When I go to drive again, I just shift right into first, no problem.

Possibly your syncros.

I had my clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, throwout bearing, clutch and flywheel all replaced thinking it would resolve my issue.

Wasted the money because everything was perfectly fine and still like new when it was pulled out. Shifter cables are fine as well. So last option in my case is syncros.

happens to me too, asked a legit honda technician, he said it's normal. next time that happens throw it in Neutral and pump your clutch 2-3 times and put it in gear. Good every time!

Here also - I do second to first.

I also have this issue going from a stop to reverse, in which case I put in in first then reverse
