Re: BEST WAY TO LAUNCH AUTO LUDE

umm... There really is no best way to launch it without a stall converter in it. But basically keep your foot on the brake and preload it by hitting the gas and then let off the brake.

Wait a minute. Our autos are extremely notorious for failing prematurely and you want to LAUNCH it? That doesn't even sound like a decent idea.

judging my him making this thread, i'm gonna go ahead and say he ALREADY needs a new tranny, for two reasons;
1) honda auto trannies are among the weakest out there

and more importantly, 2) if he wants to launch an auto prelude, he's prolly done other not-so intelligent stuff before

So why would you risk your new tranny by launching it...

Anyways, like he said. Brake on, gas car, let go of brake.

You'll find that warranty pretty void when they discover symptoms of misuse on the tranny. Our trannys suck, no matter what year. You wanna race? Get a 5 speed or stall converter. Also, please fix your grammar and punctuation.

put it on D hold the brake, then mash on the gas...you'll know when to let go....lots of white smoke will give a good sign to let go..and i dont mean from the tires from all the torque

Re: BEST WAY TO LAUNCH AUTO LUDE

Still comes down to the fact that you're trying to drag an automatic. Which is dumb. Just plain dumb.

It doesn't matter how much research you've done or a warranty on your transmission, the 5th gen auto trannies are ****. They work well for a short bit, then crap out in 1st and 2nd.

You want to launch? 5 speed swap. Otherwise, save yourself the embarrassment and just drive your car normally.

I still dont know what this thread is about...

Guys, this person HAS to be eleven-teen. He doesnt know how to drive, and clearly has no idea WHAT he is driving.

I think this is an auto-ban thread. Obviously street racing.

you want to drag race an auto lude.... dont bother, you're gonna lose anyway, unless of course you're racing a base auto 91 civic.

Re: BEST WAY TO LAUNCH AUTO LUDE

If you want to launch a honda, either put a 5 speed in yours in which case I'd look for an lsd if you want to launch or I would sell yours to buy a 5 speed stock one. Guess thats just me though.. never really would own an automatic car. To boring no offense to all you guys who do have an auto.
