Thank you, is ther any reason why?, the Bosch P+4 look pretty good with four yttrium-enhanced ground electrodes. They really recommended them at the local car shop but i was a little unsure.

Re: Bosch Splugs?

Honda <3's the NGKs. I've never run anything but them in my car. Honestly, I cant give you any solid reasoning as to why, but I've never had an issue with my plugs and they seem to last longer than normal so I just stick to what I know works.

Re: Bosch Splugs?

people have used Bosch and found their cars ran crappier. also I'm assuming it has 4 electrodes, which doesnt matter because only one fires at a time. stick to ngk. there's a reason they come stock

Re: Bosch Splugs?

Glad to hear you made the right choice! In my Parts Store I don't even sell Bosch. Yuck; We recommend NGK for imports, and also sell Denso, but I only really have one shop that buys them and he's a Toyota Master Tech.

Re: Bosch Splugs?

the reason they suck is pretty simple actually. electricity, what does it do? follow the path of least resistance. it can't take more than 1 path to ground. so which ever post has the least corrosion or deposits (resistance) is gonna be the one the spark uses. so you don't get 4 sparks like they advertise.

Bosh makes the absolute worst spark plugs to ever disgrace the face of the earth.

I run Denso plugs.

Re: Bosch Splugs?

I have quite a bit of money dumped into my motor, and I run a stock ignition setup with NGK plugs and wires.

I do the wholesale in my store, and I would never recommend bosch plugs for anything import. NGK or denso.. that's really the only way to go... for import, unless recommended otherwise.

Agreed! I never could find a reason to go aftermarket on my H22.

181k miles on stock setup? yes please!

Re: Bosch Splugs?

Cool!! thanks guys I got it NGK is the way to go! :)
Here's something that I came across NGK saying to use anti-sieze compound on coated plugs? but yet the repair manual says to do so?
hes the link http://www.ngkplugpro.ca/content/con...SparkPlugs.pdf

Re: Bosch Splugs?

Always use a bit of anti-seize compound on spark plug threads since they're going into an aluminum head.

HOWEVER, if NGK recommends NOT using anti-seize compound because the spark plug threads come coated with some kind of compound right out of the box, then follow NGK's recommendation.
