AEM oil pressure gauge, I have a question!

Hey all. I just bought a JDM H22 for my 98 sh. I found out that there is a brand new twin disc carbon race clutch in it (after I bought a stage 4 competition clutch kit and a fidenza light weight flywheel) and after market cams. Anyway, there is a steel braided line by the oil filter so the person who owned the motor in Japan had a aftermarket oil pressure gauge. I have to replace this line with a new gauge. Wanted to go with the AEM because I am getting a AEM wideband so that I can tune the car and I want the A/F gauge to match the oil pressure gauge. Anyway, can I use the AEM? I don't know if they are electrical or mechanical. Any help would be great I'm a little confused on how these things work.

I think that the mechanical gauge uses a line with oil in it to tell you the pressure and the electircal one uses a signal and no oil line.

Thanks

The mechanical does use an oil line to the gauge. The electrical has a sending unit that threads into the block, and sends an electrical signal to the gauge. However, I don't know if the AEM is mechanical or not.
