Silver painted guage bezel drying time

So, I painted my bezels on my gauge cluster on Sunday, and now its Friday, and when I press down on the bezel, it imprints my fingerprint on it. How do I speed up the drying time? It's been almost a week, shouldn't it be dried already?

Re: Silver painted guage bezel drying time

WTF!? How much paint did you spray on them? Mine dried in like an hour lol. Your not supposed to go heavy with the spray paint. Just light coats of spray paint.

Is the paint old, it may be breaking down in the can.

No spray paint should take more than a week to dry. An hour maybe two max. It was water based right? Cause if its oil based your better off cleaning it off and starting over with the water based.

Re: Silver painted guage bezel drying time

temp has much to do with it. If you used over the counter spray paint with no need for hardener, I have to think it's sitting in under than 60 degree temps.

what kind of paint are you using?!?! regular Duplicolor takes like 5 minutes to dry. I paint stuff year round and even in winter it dries quick
