Lowered 1.5 inches, you shouldn't be close to having positive camber unless something's bent, or lots of other things are out of spec. Make sure the toe is set to zero and the caster is in spec -- more tires get chewed up by badly adjusted toe than anything else. Then see how the camber turns out.

Re: adjustable ball joints or control arms for bad camber

actually the camber is visually out of whack. and...it wouldnt surprise me at all to find out that something else is wrong. especially with one positive and one negative. one other thing ive seen is a control arm where the ball joint mount slides in and out on the arm... thoughts

Re: adjustable ball joints or control arms for bad camber

I would look at the upper and lower control arms for any bends before considering a camber kit. And if you ignore that, I vouch for adjustable ball joints although expensive I find mine to do their job well.

Re: adjustable ball joints or control arms for bad camber

there is your problem .. you have a broken ball joint. the ball joint shouldn't move in an up / down motion. elude is right... get an adjustable ball joint kit... like ingalls. i know its money but its a great investment.

Re: adjustable ball joints or control arms for bad camber

Never run across that before. I may be wrong but it seems kinda hoaky and not very condusive to accurate alignment. As Bustr said, you knee to thoroughly check out your current suspension. There is no way you can have positive camber after lowering with out something being horribly wrong. I did ingalls kit and it worked very well. Got camber back to factory spec, it drives much better, looks much better, and doesn't chew up tires.

Re: adjustable ball joints or control arms for bad camber

i dont think its a result of my lowering. fact is, i put on springs to drop it the inch and a half. i measured clearances before and after. funny thing they were the same. the springs i took off were almost positively factory so im guessing a previous owner just cut them. i only have a thousand km on it since i did the switch. one thing is certain though, something is hoaky. i just have it at the glass shop getting my rear window seal replaced. will get it back tomorrow night. thanks for the help
