Wheel color help

Alright.. It's about time to put new shoes on the lude.. I've had my wheels for too long and I want something lighter..

I already know what wheels I want.. Volk te37.. I'm just not sure what color I want or what would look best..

I know volk has a lot of colors and they all look pimp so it's hard for me to pick one. I'm stuck between bronze and silver.. And gunmetal te37le with the lip or some time attacks if I can find them or white.. I would rather buy new ones.

So what do y'all think will look better on a silver prelude?

I almost have all the money saved up for wheels, tires, and other things like trim and stuff that is starting to show age.

I'm also wondering if 17x8 +42 with f&f 1's and 215/45 or 18x7.5 +45 with 215/35 /45 with the tokico's I have now will look better. I kinda wanna go lower and would rather have a little extra wheel protection

Re: Wheel color help

I have seen a few pics of bronze ones on a prelude and it does look sexy

Bronze on a silver lude with some cf.. So I'm thinking either red or black lug nuts and the cf center cap.. I have an extra valvecover that I'm gonna paint wrinkle red but that will be the only other red thing on the car.. But I think the red would match the bronze well.. Opinions?

And 17's or 18's?

Re: Wheel color help

On a silver Prelude, definitely not the silver rims. You need some contrasting colors, out of what you said probably the bronze or if you really wanted it to stand out you could always get these lol...

Re: Wheel color help

^^ Like I said... Takata Green

I'd do 17's cuz I prefer ride comfort over stiffness and 18's are more vulnerable to dents... but then again. It all depends on how much it'll be and the difference in price. Are you looking to buy new or used?

Ha, my bad. I read what you wrote but it didn't quite click at the time. So yes Takata green or bronze.

I'd do bronze, less is more these days and it'll look clean, and stand out but not in a bad way.

Re: Wheel color help

I'd go with the bronze in 17s. A 45 series tire is pretty chunky for a 17 tho why not go 40?

Re: Wheel color help

i love my 45's. i went with 45's because 40's are scary as s**t when you have wheels that cost. i like the added comfort of if i hit a pothole or whatever, im not going to trash my rim or tire. i was running 40's and i think they look a bit better, but once i went with 45's, ill never go back!

Re: Wheel color help

I had a choice of 215/40/17 or 205/45/17. Went with 45's cuz tires are a bit thinner so I can get that stretched look on my next set of rims coming soon:)

Re: Wheel color help

i want those volks, but i have works! hmmmmmmmmmmm. its tempting, but you dont see too many ludes running my setup. i know of one other lude that has a set and he still hasnt got them mounted because he had recieved his with slight damage, and there is about a 4 month wait just to get em.

if i were to sell them, it wouldnt be cheap!

I was going to say bronze before I saw that it was one of your choices.

It's meant to be.

Go for bronze!
