I think that's a fair price. Similar to StopTech and Power Slot

Re: Brembo Rotors

Personally I would not order those. Brembo does not make drilled and slotted rotors. Companies order Brembo blanks, then do the drilling themselves. If they do this improperly, it could compromise the structural integrity of the rotors. On top of that, my past experience with Brembo rotors on BOTH of my Preludes is: They don't last very long, they have no coating to keep from rusting/corroding, and in TWO different cases, I received brand new Brembo rotors that were warped out of the box (4 front rotors all together). I started going with Powerslot slotted rotors and have never looked back. $140 will get you a brand new set for the fronts on eBay.

Re: Brembo Rotors

I've heard drilled brakes are easily warped. Some guy on this forum picked up some dimpled brakes. Apparently they're just as great and don't suffer build quality.

I've read the same thing. Getting both drilled and slotted could damage your rotors. I was looking at either drilled or slotted, or like andrewcjduong said and do dimpled.

Re: Brembo Rotors

The brembos I got were just drilled. Have to say, they never warped and were amazing with the axxis pads that i got for them. They lasted over 45,000 miles but then i sold the truck.

Re: Brembo Rotors

I have had my power slot rotors and hawk pads for years, they are awesome!.

you don't have a race car, you don't have 4 piston calipers, you do NOT need drilled rotors.

dimpled are fine, but not necessary. the holes from drilling are there to dissipate the gases that build up between the pads and the rotor when pressure is applied. this allows for improved stopping power. the dimples do nothing to mimic or simulate this process and are there just for looks. slots on the other hand run from the inner part of the rotor all the way to the outer edge. the slots don't work quite as efficiently as the drilled holes, but they still force the gases away from the rotor surface and improve stopping power drastically compared to a stock "blank" rotor.

like I said above, if you don't have a race car, you don't need drilled rotors.

Re: Brembo Rotors

slotted rotors are a waste of money on a daily driven car as most of the cars on this site are. youd be suprised how much faster they wear your pads away.

good point about the pads, but I'm fairly certain that people are interested in braking performance over pad wear.
