Not bad for the horsepower you are looking for, I paid like $325 for my F1 racing stage 2 with a lightweight flywheel.

Eeeeew F1 Racing. Garbage in a cardboard box.

Exedy and ACT make some fantastic clutches. I haven't heard anything good or bad about Competition, because nobody I know wants to be a guinea pig lol. Stay away from XTD, F1, and Spec clutches.

Re: what do you guys reccomend

No problems with my F1 clutch what so ever. F1 clutches are the same as exedy clutches they are remanufactured clutch that F1 racing gets from exedy are redo what ever that needed tobe done on a defect but they are all the same.. I had a exedy and act clutch and they burn out just like any other clutch if you don't break em in right...

Re: what do you guys reccomend

F1 clutches are garbage. I had two of them in my S14. The first one I installed, and it slipped worse than the clutch I pulled off the motor. The second one I installed a month or so later with a brand new flywheel, and it still slipped like a b!tch on a frozen lake with hot butter shoes.

lol sh!tty driver. If you say so. But we're not talking about your friends with torque-free D-series engines, we're talking an engine that's going to make upwards of 250hp. The F1 stage 2 clutches couldn't even hang on to my 240's girly little 180lb/ft of torque. That's a p*ssy clutch.

OP: If you're going to do any kind of build, don't cheap out on a clutch. Do it right the first time.

Re: what do you guys reccomend

why would youwant to cheap out on a part that is as important or difficult/expensive to install as a clutch?
cheap out on **** like an intake not driveline components

LOL D-series All my friends have beast motor for your info more than 250hp more like 400hp with boost.. Like I said before F1 Racing clutch are the same products as exedy. I put in all my parts so labor isn't a issue for me. I wouldn't buy any parts if they were garbage beside its my money lol...

What makes them the same as Exedy, the fact that it's a full face organic clutch? Whoop-de-doo. By that logic, bottom barrel oils are just as good as the high end oils like AMSoil, right? They're both oils, after all.

Re: what do you guys reccomend

F1 racing gets their defect clutches and flywheels from exedy and fidanza and fix whatever that was damage doing the process of making them thats why they are the same.. Im not telling this guy to go and buy a F1 racing clutch its his decision but I know that they are not bad clutches to me on my part.. If you look at some of the exedy clutches and fidanza flywheels they are all made my the same people and the prices are in the same bracket....

Re: what do you guys reccomend

So... they take other manufacturer's units that don't pass QC, slap their name on it, repaint the pressure plate, and sell it to unknowing customers?

Nice.

That's what you said though. So do you know what you're talking about or not?

I rest my case.

Plus, you can't really f*ck up the manufacturing of a flywheel THAT easily.

Noober: I had that same clutch with a Fidanza flywheel in my H22 Accord, and that clutch was a beast.
