How to test dash lights to see if someone is trying to trick you

I was reading in the post below about people pulling the bulbs from the dash board behind various warning lights so that a potential buyer might not be able to know that there is a problem.

I guess this is not a new trick nor is it only something someone could do to a Prelude, but how could a potential Prelude buyer know if someone has done it to them?

I am looking at a base 99 Prelude. I know when you put the key to ACC all the idiot lights should light up. Under normal circumstances, assuming all bulbs are still installed and not disconnected, which lights should come on?

pretty much all of them. there may be the odd one that doesnt but whose gonna pull the low fuel bulb. most importantly,

check engine
srs
abs
atts
green key for immobilizer
oil and coolant
battery and brake

with the exception of the atts this should be pretty much universal for all obd2 era vehicles

Yeah if you turn the car on and all of those lights do not turn on then someone has taken one of the bulbs out or taped over it or something.
