LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

Okay so I have read and read and later on read yet again the threads here about LED conversion. I still don't seem to have a really clear cut answer about the exact sizes of leds needed for a 5th gen Auto (I know, I know). Seems like there has been discrepancies and controversy concerning the correct bulbs and number of them that are required. I really want to replace all of the bulbs with super white leds or whatever the brightest white ones might be. Seems like the window switches would require more than just one bulb. You know two switches for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side!? For example, on my driver's side the outermost switch light with the label AUTO is lit up but the inner switch light is burnt out. Also do you guys know what bulb might be needed for a blown dummy cluster light such as the fuel light? Sorry to be so long-winded but I have been trying to get around to doing these for over a year now and really would hate to order the wrong sh*t and have to order again and then do it over. Oh and here are some threads that I was talking about.

INT: 5th gen - How to change the color of a 5th gen's gauge cluster

INT: 5th Gen Sunroof/Cruise button color change

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

every light in the gauge is a #74
every light in the console, ash tray, cruise sunroof etc is a neo wedge.
everything you need is in the third link you posted.

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

Really, I don't think a light for the low fuel light was in any of the posts above. Not trying to be smart or anything but like I said above "I have been trying to get around to doing these for over a year now and really would hate to order the wrong sh*t and have to order again and then do it over." I figured replacing the dummy lights (such as the fuel) that are burnt out would make sense while replacing the cluster lights themselves.

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

i just went and visually confirmed to be sure. EVERY light in the gauge cluster is the same. the only one that isnt would be the red lcd display for the sportshift(1,2,3,4) the maintenance tab, and the drive selection when it changes from backlight to the actual indicator. these as far as i know arent changeable at all. the lcd might have an aftermarket lcd but i doubt its workable. far as i know the maintenance is also just white with different colour filters and probably the same with the drive selector

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

I am with Danno on this.. if you go to that third link and read through, then try to go to autoillumination.com and search for the bulbs, some don't exist anymore.. and they update it so when someone says '3rd one down' and they update the site that post becomes completely null.

For example:

Autolumination Instrument Panel Light Bulbs & Lamps)

The FINAL Led Conversion thread reads:
4 - #74 Super White "Tri-LED/Angle" LED (Cluster)

Go to the link I provided and try searching for Tri-LED/Angle.

Multiple people who have done this, AND HAD SUCCESS, need to create one list of LEDs you need, their EXACT NAMES from the website, and THEN worry about DIYs.

I have done the gauge cluster conversion, however the bulbs I ordered produce the crappiest light spread I have ever seen and didn't fit very well into my cluster (The bulb behind the temp gauge has bad contact, if flickers on and off when I hit bumps).

I tried the cruise/dimmer/sun roof conversion, not surprised when they didn't work (EVEN AFTER ROTATING THEM 180 DEGREES, I tried multiple times both directions).

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

Thank you My97Prelude and where did you get your bulbs from? Just want to make sure I get the right $hit before taking stuff apart.

Re: LED conversion?? Fuel light burnt out.

it's a #74 bulb. And I just replaced the instruement cluster bulbs with LED and it didn't make enough of a difference. The design is flawed.
