5th gen engine code help

If this has been cover i apologize. I have looked all over the site, used the search and only found how to check engine codes for other models. Can someone tell me how to check the engine light code for my 99 prelude?

Re: 5th gen engine code help

take it to any autoparts store and let them use a code reader, or you could remove the carpet cover on the side of the center console on the passenger side, remove the clip that goes to the obd connector, unplug it, then jump the leads together with a paperclip, turn the car to the on position, not running, just on, then count the flashes. the long flashes are read in increments of 10s and the short flashes are 1.....so if you get 3 long flashes and 4 short flashes, you will have code 34. count the flashes and post the number and i can help you further. the code will repeat itself over and over, so if you only have 1 code, it will just keep repeating that code, if there is more than one, it will re loop ALL codes. hope that makes sense...
