Ipex Tail Light

What do you folks know about Ipex? Would these be worth it? The price sounds too good to be true.

No kidding, one of the first aftermarket tails for the lude that are actually clean looking.

If you get them be sure to post some pics up and let us know how fitment is and what not.

Re: Ipex Tail Light

Those look cool. My only advice if ur putting new taillights in, is to put RTV or a silicone sealant where the back of the light is against its mount. If not you will prob get water in ur trunk. I learned that the hard way. After the sealant there are no problem. If u already know that then hopefully somebody learned something!!

Re: Ipex Tail Light

So no one really has experience with ipex products? It seems to be almost OEM from the pics. I just changed the tail light gaskets on my wife's prelude (I have one too) and tried to blast water through the lights. Nothing is showing up in the trunk now. But I will keep the sealant in mind when doing mine. Although mine does not have a leak, but of course I will replace them as well as the new tails if I go that route.

nah you can get them apart again. if they come with gaskets you prob wont need it to be sealed. I had major water coming into my trunk a long time ago and that was the issue. So i sealed it and prob solved.

Re: Ipex Tail Light

I am going to. My stock ones look like F*ck. Seriously thinking about painting or tinting the bottom clear strip. I will post pics once they are installed. Cause I know how many pic whores are on PZ and that includes myself.

Re: Ipex Tail Light

Hey guys I have the tails. I want to smoke the reverse bottom strip. But not in black. I want to do it in silver. What would be the best choice? I have only been able to find this. It is the closest paint color I can find on the net. I searched for VHT but they don't seem to make a silver. Also I looked for Rustoleum tint spray but again, no silver. Anyone have any ideas? Re: Ipex Tail Light

DANNO! How you been dude? No, VHT does not make it in silver. You'd have to make sure that paint is transparent. Even with VHT, I'm not quite sure they're legal. Im going to find out if it's legal before I do it to Crystal.

Re: Ipex Tail Light

Not too shabby western. How 'bout you?
And vicious I am talking about the bottom strip. That is where the reverse lights are. I have got the tails and they looking f*cking jam up. I am still on the fence so to speak about tinting the bottom. Pretty sure I will get to doing it soon though.

Re: Ipex Tail Light

To anyone interested in these tails. DON'T buy them! Sh*tty quality, gaskets that don't fit, gaping seams between the inner and outer sides of them. I sent them back. What a waste of time and money. Also the vendor sucks sweaty, furry, and dirty monkey balls.
