5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

Me and my friend just recently did the cluster MOD and decided to offer our services to preludezone members.

-NO HOTSPOTS
-BRIGHT AS HELL (which can be adjusted by your dimmer)
-JUST SEND US YOUR CLUSTER AND WE WILL DO THE WORK FOR YOU
- WE WILL PROVIDE THE MATERIALS (LED strips)
-ONCE YOU GET YOUR CLUSTER BACK... ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUST PLUG IT.

WORK INVOLVED:
- Disassembly of the cluster
- Taking out the filter from the gauges without removing the needles (so it wont be damaged) Takes about 3 to 4 hours to do this...
- Soldering the led strips with the 2 sections
- Strategically placing the LED strip around each gauge to ensure even lighting
- Testing of the LED bulbs and making sure that it lights up evenly
- Assembly of the cluster
- Soldering the LED connection to the power source behind the cluster

* It will take 3-4 working days to complete each cluster.

NOTE:
Please include/ label your cluster with your Nickname in the forum with a masking tape or just paper with the color of LEDs that you like.

PRICE: $135 plus shipping costs (you will pay for the shipping of your cluster to us and we will tell you the shipping cost from us to you so that it can be incorporated with the $135).

DISCLAMER:
We've done a couple clusters so far without any problems. We're only dealing with power components to the lights themselves. We make sure not to take apart anything else. So other then taking out and installing the cluster, which is up to the buyer, there should be no reason that any of the gauges don't work.

We trust that you will send us a cluster with no mechanical problems already, but because we don't have a way of testing the gauges to see if they're working, only a way of testing to see if the lights function, we can not take responsibility for any problems you are experiencing with the functionality of the gauges themselves. If you are worried about something causing a problem through shipping, most shipping providers have optional shipping insurance for a nominal fee.

If its the LEDs that are causing the problem, then we would be happy to take back the cluster, fix the problem, and ship it back to you free of charge. Just contact me if you have any questions.

THANKS!!

HERE ARE SOME SAMPLES OF MY GAUGE IN MY CAR AND MY FRIENDS' CAR (which are both 5th gens)

WE ALSO OFFER CLIMATE CONTROL MOD FOR $110 plus shipping...
(You ship the climate control to us and we do the mod for you... Then ship it back to you with the LED color you want in it..)

The indicator lights on the climate control that light up when pressed are not included unless requested for an additonal $50.

HERE ARE SOME SAMPLES OF THE BLUE LED CLIMATE CONTROL

WHITE LED CLIMATE CONTROL

WE CAN DO $220 SHIPPED (You will pay for shipping your CLUSTER and CLIMATE CONTROL to us, then we will take care of the shipping cost for shipping it back to you). FOR BOTH THE CLUSTER AND CLIMATE CONTROL LED MODS IF ORDERED TOGETHER. ( The indicator bulbs for both CLUSTER and CLIMATE CONTROL will still be stock color for this price since we do not carry the bulbs for these indicator lights/switches.)

PM me if you are interested...
Thanks again guys!

MODS... If this is in the wrong section... I apologize... please move it to where it is appropriate. Thanks!

looks great but I have a feeling that price is going to be way to steep for most people. there are some DIY's on putting led strips in the cluster already..

Re: 5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

the indicator lights in the climate control are simple led's not bulbs and 110 bones to swap 3 bulbs that are accessible from the outside of the control(5 minutes tops) is a little steep. the actual leds are a bit of time to change (did mine in about an hour)but its a shame that you leave the factory green ones in. gauge looks nice though.

you should post this in the marketplace area instead of here

thanks, we have had a couple customers from other forums use our service already and were completely satisfied. i know the price seems steep, but honestly this light output is not gonna get any better. and it takes alot of work being very anal to get it that way. i give anyone props who tries to do this themselves, cuz it was difficult doing it the first couple times. so for those who want to do this mod right, once, and not have to deal with the hassle.... PM Me. Thanks!!

please read the original post. we use high output led strips in the gauges and climate. much brighter with better light output then you'll get using any other method. not only are the leds expensive but it takes a lot of work to do this custom. which is why we charge so much. also, we changed the indicator lights on the blue gauges to blue, looks good, so we can do that too, just ask :)

Re: 5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

sorry if i misread this. its a quote from your original post

"The indicator bulbs for both CLUSTER and CLIMATE CONTROL will still be stock color for this price since we do not carry the bulbs for these indicator lights/switches."

i replaced all my cc indicator with blue leds( ebay 100 leds for 6.95). they are actually too bright but look amazing. 56 cents for the led lights and 10 bucks for the cc backlighting and 20 for the gauge backlighting is $30.56. just trying to imagine how you get to 300 bucks from there. each his own i guess. just lookin out for the little guy. ill mind my own now. cheers and good luck

in your original post you said "the indicator lights in the climate control are simple led's not bulbs and 110 bones to swap 3 bulbs that are accessible from the outside of the control(5 minutes tops) is a little steep." so i must have misunderstood you. there are 3 bulbs to change that can be accessed from the outside, but they are the back light bulbs, not the indicator bulbs. those have to be accessed and re-soldered from the inside. and as i said earlier, we changed the ones in the blue climate, white ones for the main 5, and blue for the defrosts and a/c.

i understand in the original post it says we wont change the indicators, but after some experimentation, we figure we could offer it as part of the package.

as for the price, we charge a little more because we aren't using cheap ebay LEDs, we use high output led strips to ensure the brightest, most even lighting possible, as well as do all the above mentioned work and cover return shipping so all you have to do is install and check out your new gauges.

lastly, i'm not sure where you got 300 as our asking price, our actual asking prices are mentioned in the original post.

if anyone has any more questions, feel free to fire away

Re: 5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

I just added these up from your first post..

"PRICE: $135 plus shipping costs"

"WE ALSO OFFER CLIMATE CONTROL MOD FOR $110 plus shipping..."

"The indicator lights on the climate control that light up when pressed are not included unless requested for an additonal $50."

i got $295.00 plus shipping.

Re: 5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

lol. if you wanna pay us that much you're welcome to, but at the end of the first post it says we'll do both the climate and cluster for 220 plus shipping to us. and recently we've decided to do both and the indicator lights for 250 plus shipping. sorry if it was unclear. we're not here to cause problems just offer our services. thanks

yes sir we are. the white looks awesome, better in person then in the pics. and its pretty bright when the dimmer is up all the way, but its quite tolerable at night with it all the way dim.

Re: 5th Gen Cluster/Climate LED MOD

3-4 working days homie? I did mine in about 3 hours. Try another site, I doubt anyone on here is dumb enough to pay that amount for a simple DIY.
