Tinting/Smoking Fog lights Yellow

I love the Yellow fog light look, but seeing as the lights are $250 and must be installed, I think it'd be a lot easier and nearly completely the same but way cheaper to tint the OEM fogs yellow. I've searched for how do this or what tint to use but can't find anything i'm confident in and would like some help

You have better luck just tinting them black and put in yellow bulbs, to tint your tails and fogs look up VHT Nite Spray. Thats spelled correct, they sell it at the Autozone by my house, to do what your talking about, I'd get two cans and just do two coats to be on the safe side.

1. Clean
2. Sand clear layer on lights until dull
3. Spray light layers on, wait 15 mins, repeat, wait 45, spray on the Krylon clear coat for plastics, comes in a gray bottle.
4. Wash again with rag and remove masking tape.

Ok...but i was wanting the whole light to look yellow night and day not just at night when its on. WilkaH22 you got photos of black tint with yellow bulbs? my cars black so anything smoked black might look sweet on it anyways

Re: Tinting/Smoking Fog lights Yellow

Would something like this work??

Amazon.com: Fog Light Tint Honda Prelude 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 - Yellow Smoke: Automotive

Only reason i'd rather just do a tint is because i dont have $250 to blow on fogs

Re: Tinting/Smoking Fog lights Yellow

Where in the f*ck did you see $250 for yellow fogs? Maybe for originals. Just buy the jdm replica v2s off of ebay. You can buy them in yellow. OR get yellow lamin-x. Seriously you should have to spend anymore than $120 to do this (if you include buying the fogs themselves) Unless I misunderstand your post...

Re: Tinting/Smoking Fog lights Yellow

From my understanding. Genuine JDM fogs are roughly around $250-$300 but they only come in clear. All the V2 replica's are only around $50-$100 and you have a choice of clear, smoked, or yellow lenses.

Re: Tinting/Smoking Fog lights Yellow

Also, you'll have an easier time replacing the fog lamp if you already have them on there and just swapping it rather then pulling them out, cleaning them, layering the tint perfectly and mounting them back on and having the risk of the tint peeling off.

It's 1 bolt on each side to remove the signal lamp then 2 bolts to remove the fogs. All done with a standard philips.
