Replacing CV Boot?

Have to replace the left CV boot on my 99 Prelude.

Wondering if this is a challenging job that can be done in my garage, or should I take it to the shop?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Replacing CV Boot?

It can easily be done in your garage, you may just want to replace the whole axle though.

You will need a socket to take off your lug nuts, 36mm socket, a ball joint separator, a rubber mallet, and a screwdriver.

Re: Replacing CV Boot?

As long as the boot isn't so bad that dirt was getting in; I would say stay with OEM and re-boot it.
