Have you searched the site at all?

The engine should last longer, but it really depends on previous owners and maintenance. With that high mileage if you purchase, make sure timing belts, seals, etc have been changed. And do a very good inspection.

Re: help with prelude buying suggestions/advice

How much are you looking to spend? I know when I was looking for a prelude (just got one last month) I saw they ranged from 3-9k. But the loweres usually had some dings, really high miles. But every once in a while there'd be a really low price one like 2.7-3k, not too bad mileage 120k-ish... and good condition body.

That was when I was on Craigslist everyday, checked every morning, every night. when you do find that perfect one tho, it's about getting to it before someone else does. LOL

As for maintenance...I'll let someone else answer. I'm just a chick =(

Well unless they have proof they have done the timing belt recently then you are going to want to change the timing belt (~$700), then depending on how well the previous owners took care of it there are many other things you may want to do.

Thats not so much mileage as driver care. It depends on how well the previous owner(s) took care of it, and how well you take care of it

look for one with receipts and maintenance records and get a car fax other than that it's the usual used car purchase
