Man a clicking noise could be a bent valve...not a for sure thing but possible. As for the NGK plugs ive been running those for years no problems. Also a common problem that can throw a mess of codes is a dirty EGR system.

How do i check for a bent valve?

I think i have the omnispark wires and i have also cleaned the EGR valve. I have yet to do the EGR Ports.. Does clearing out the ports make a huge difference?

hey jaylook. jf you have all those codes , some thing is wrong, you have to do check compression on the engine this will show how healthy is the engine .The next step may involve head work because the valves may not be seating properly causing open or closed valves to let to much air and fuel and not firing on time ,thats just some thing to check along with timing .Also you need to put the mileage of the engine ,so more info can be given.

I had similar codes and once i cleaned my egr ports my car ran like a champ again.

Clean those ports, adjust your valves (if you haven't in the last 30k), and enjoy the working lude again

Re: Throwing tons of CEL codes

HOLD ON TIMe OUT

getting to far ahead.....

back up. misfire codes and knock codes.... most likely your distributor is on its way out. there is a part in your distributor called an icm. ignition control module they are know to go bad. try to put another distributor on.

knock code .... h22 is known for the knock sensor single wire to fall out of its plug. or knock sensor breaks. find your knock sensor... you can see it from under your car ..right under the intake manifold. check this first and tell me what you find.

Re: Throwing tons of CEL codes

I used a guide on ht or pp.

When I get home I will post a link. It's really easy, I used a slide hammer to pull the plugs then a coat hanger and cleaning fluid.

Re: Throwing tons of CEL codes

Cleaning the EGR ports is pretty easy, but I had those codes and it was my rings that went. It might be you needing a valve adjustment also though. Like bustr said it could be something a little more simple, but it never hurts to do a compression test.
