hey quick question, im gonna order a denso o2 sensor just wondering if its the right one, the part number says 234-4092. i need it for the front one but that part number is also for the rear one, so just wanna make sure it will fit as both have the same part number. i thought they would be different anyone know? thanks!

They are different. They should have two separate part numbers. There is a primary and secondary, look on sparkplugs.com they have pretty decent prices

That's for a base, dunno if you have an sh or not. If you do just change the model on that page.

Hope it helps

I thought the upstream and downstream were both the same? Even thought they are advertised as different. Also the downstream in the one ON the cat, right? I'm trying to replace my o2 sensors as well.

they are different, the leads on the primary will not reach the secondary. the primary o2 is on the header and the secondary is after the cat.

So...on the cat or after it.. lol

also, on sparkplugs.com, is the secondary considered the front or back and does the lead inch measurement matter? How do I choose the correct one?

and the secondary sensor is the one that actually reads the emissions, right?

Re: Denso o2 sensor help

the secondary is ON THE CAT, but after the catalyst.

secondary is the back o2.

The primary is looking at how the engine is running, rich or lean, so that the computer can adjust fuel as needed for correct operation.

The secondary is just to verify that the cat is still working correctly.

get these from sparkplugs.com

ngk o2 sensors, part number(S) 24285 primary and 24282 secondary.
