Polk DXi 112 Subwoofer !!

Just bought this sub at BEST BUY...POLK DXi 112 12" single voice coil, 360 RMS rated. Man this thing pounds hard. It is a little BIG but fits in the trunk barely....got it hooked up to my Alpine MRP-F450 4 channel amp putting out only 100 Watts RMS. Like I side this thing pounds even with a wimpy 100 watts. I was looking Kicker subs and two things that pulled me away from the Kickers, one the factory boxed two 12" subs are too big and requires alot of wattage, and two the price is quite expensive. The Polk was just sitting there and I decided to listen to them and they blew me away with the deep bass for 1/2 the price!! The Polk has similar sounds quality as the Kickers maybe a little more muddy but not bad for the price. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know if you are looking for a hard hitting sub for $200 new you can't beat the Polk DXi 112. Go and listen....

Good for you man, glad you enjoy it. Except, my Alpine Type R is 600 watts rms, dual voice coil, and was $122 shipped to my door. The Box was $35 shipped to my door. $157 total.

Glad to see you're happy with your purchase - but shouldn't this be in the "ice" section?

Huh....wish I had talk to you before....that is a pretty sweet deal for an Alpine Type R with a box. Oh well.....still liking my Polk and don't have to spend more money for a high powered amp.

Thats dirt cheap lol. When I bought my type R it was 450 plus a 200 custom made box specifically tailored to my sub. Then u add the 2 alpine amps at 600 and 400 lol. Not cheap lol.

@ OP....Polk is good stuff. I run polk speakers in the doors.

Re: Polk DXi 112 Subwoofer !!

I thought the same thing for an Alpine Type R it is dirt cheap.....although I have my doubts on the box for only $35? These subs hit extremely hard and a cheap box will not last when the subs are pushed.
