HID's and x-clips

What is an x-clip, how does it work, does it work for our cars, and is it needed? I did a little research about HID's and people are saying they don't fit well then came across the x-clip thing.
Acura / Honda Modified X clip, Honda Part number: 33116-S6M-003

BTW, my DEPO black-housed headlight clips are loose as hell. I had to bend them in all sorts of shape to get them to work and they don't even have the male end for the negative wire!

Re: HID's and x-clips

I think it's so when you clip down the bulb, the clip will align with the x and make it seem tight. I have oem headlamp's with HID and they wingle around like a dinky. Lol

Re: HID's and x-clips

It will clip over the bulb, it is not needed, you can do ghetto things to get the bulbs to fit in otherways. Although I wish I hadn't and I had just bought these lol.

Re: HID's and x-clips

i dnt use these and i have 8K HIDs for low beam.. if u buy the right quality HID bulb it'll fit in just like a halogen bulb. my H1 HID bulbs fit it perfect and they dont move at all.
