Re: squeaking noise

My car is doing the exact same thing. Front drivers side. Happened right after the snows melted. I'm guessing it is S+S related, and I'm guessing its the shock absorber or one of its mounts. Prolly got some water in, on or around it which rusted and is causing squeaking. Some AMSoil spray grease or WD-40 would prolly clear it up, provided I/you could figure out where to spray it.

Re: squeaking noise

Mine was like this for a while. I put some grease on the joint where the radius rod connects to the cross beam, fixed it right up.

although I changed the axle at same time as well...

Re: squeaking noise

Prolly not the axle. Typically, axles don't squeak. They tend to pop.

Re: squeaking noise

^ Well then, greasing the radius rod might be the best bet. all I know is that my squeaking went away when I did this and hasn't come back...

Re: squeaking noise

Good deal. I'll have to pick up a can of spray greade today and see what does the trick.

Re: squeaking noise

i got the same problem.. squeaking from front left and rear right.. some minor on passenger side front too. it did it worse after a nice full carwash.. could wd40 or some grease fix the problem? its more like a "creaking" noise rather than a squeak.. idk wtf. it got worse (louder) over the winter. and only does it when i got over a bump sideways, slowly..or if i slow down to a red light and hit small bumps in the road near the intersection.

Re: squeaking noise

i dont have a 5th gen but my 4th always does this too. if its linked to suspenson you can tell very easily by just pushing up and down on the fender, if it squeaks then you have found your problem. everyone is saying its on the driver side and it happens when you turn, could be a belt. i know my belts squeak for a second when i first cramp it off

Mine is the suspension. If I push down on the front left, it creaks. Tried spray grease, did not help. But then again, pretty much all my ball joints are fcked, so that could be an issue.

Chances are its just water or rust on the shock absorber coil, or on one of its mounts.
