coilovers

My buddy has some coilovers im going to pick up from him for $40, they are not top of the line or no $300 coilovers but something I figured would be better than what I have right now. I plan on doing a suspension swap once I get into air force, anyway I've done some reading on the instals and see I need a torque wrench and the suspension compressor from honda (or a local auto parts can rent one to me) is it worth just bringing to somebody and have it done or just do it myself. I just dont want to get into a project that I cant finish in a day and have only two springs installed type thing. I believe you can also adjust them to what height you would like.

I've never done anything like this before so I feel like its a little over my head, I seen all the things it comes with and really half the crap idk what to do with it lol. What do yall feel is a far price to install these if I bring them to a mechanic on the side not a shop. I was thinking $100....also these springs new are only worth prob $50 or so, he got them off of ebay new and they are still in the package never installed

Re: coilovers

well I just found out its gone cost little over $200 to install them. Since they are only worth like $50 im just going to save my money and wait to buy a nice suspension set for about $700 and install them myself. Seems like the smarter thing to do

Re: coilovers

he has not had any problems with them so far. 700 is a great price for those. i know the F&F coilovers are around the same price with less options

Im looking to get some tokico illumina with ground control coils, the cheapest I've found is around 8-900 for it all. Do you know where you found it for 500? that sounds loads better than my price lol

Re: coilovers

Koni Yellows w/ Ground Control coilovers. You can even get custom spring rates if you order through Ground Controls website ( no extra cost). Just bought this setup for about $900. Not installed yet, however countless amounts of Prelude owners (and Honda owners in general) will vouch for this setup. Just something to consider :)
