hey as u read im to this stuff, i don't really know much, besides the minimal, but i got a 99 prelude, and i love this car, i chose it over lots of other cars, its my first car too, and i would like just some general information, and opinions on mods, and i don't wanna make too much power yet cause it will be my dd for a lonnggggg ass time

No power. Work on maintenance first. You don't wanna install a $1200 Mugen Twinloop Exhaust and have your engine blow the next day.

yea, ive been gettin that stuff done this week, i got a fluid change, and belts are being changed tomorrow, i heard that they wear out after 60k miles, is that true

I believe so. Timing belt and water pump are pretty crucial. Then you got distributor cap, spark plugs, plug wires, rotor, fuel filter, egr valves, etc... My catalytic converter had to be replaced. Not sure if yours needs to.

should teach her man lol i taught all my ex's how to drive manual.. cuz i nvr really had an autotragic car.. except for my turbo diesel since they dnt make that particular model w/ a manual tranny. lol

Our timing belt should be changed at 90k along with the water pump and everything. Although mine went to 135k without a problem I wouldn't suggest testing your luck with something like that very often...

I'm not hating my prelude is the first auto I had and almost wrecked it when I bought it. Took it on the highway and was driving when I attempted to pass someone I "downshifted" and actually put it in park lol

I am slowly getting the parts together to convert!!! Speaking of swapping to a manual, does anyone know how much it hurts the resale?

Congrats on the new lude and welcome to the site... best mods to do it the basic ones, intake, exhaust, drop. remove AC and power steering, strut bars.
