01 Prelude SH CEL

Hi guys so I just put on a skunk 2 intake manifold yesterday... I have a 01 SH model. I know that the CEL is most likely caused because the EGR valve isn't being used anymore. I bolted the EGR up to the bracket that came with the manifold kit and have it plugged into the wiring harness. I know I have a P13 ECU but is there another ECU I can use with the SH model like a P28 or P72 that will cancel out the EGR check engine light? I also wanna make sure that the new ECU will work with my ATTS. Thanks in advance.

Re: 01 Prelude SH CEL

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the p28 would eliminate the egr, but you would lose atts unfortunately.

Re: 01 Prelude SH CEL

Only the stock ECU will keep ATTS. You will need to get a piggyback if you want a tune and you want to keep ATTS.

I would check the code before you assume it is the EGR. You could also have a vacumn leak since you had the manifold off.

Re: 01 Prelude SH CEL

I will double check the code... but the reason why I replaced my stock intake manifold with a skunk 2 is because I already had an egr code due to a clog in my manifold. I have all vacuum lines hooked up but because it is a Skunk 2 manifold the egr becomes eliminated and there is no where to bolt the egr to anymore. Skunk 2 does provide a plate to mount the egr onto but it is not actually to the manifold.

Re: 01 Prelude SH CEL

I checked the code and like I suspected it was the EGR... sorry I am using a stock ECU not the P13 I got confused because the stock intake manifold says P13 on it.
