Gude Performance Throttle Body (Bullfrog)

Hey, so i was wondering if getting a OEM throttle body that has been bored out and modified by GUDE performance is any good.

Diameter at taper mouth 67mm
dia at butterfly 63mm

I dont know much about throttle bodies but i have simple bolt ons like I/H/E, and it is gonna be on a stock intake manifold. I do not plan on going FI so will this throttle body help?

What do you guys think?

How much? Maxbore.com charges $100 to bore your TB. If it's much more than that it's not worth it

Re: Gude Performance Throttle Body (Bullfrog)

Contrary to the above post, the larger throttle body will improve your throttle response remarkably, however that is about it. Don't go looking for massive gains because you won't find them.

I believe you have to have the stock manifold matched to the bore of the throttle body to feel any power gains though right?

Re: Gude Performance Throttle Body (Bullfrog)

like brash said, you will notice more throttle response, but you wont notice any power gains.

just around 2 weeks till i get my euro-r im and 68mm professional products tb. cant wait.

still gotta wait for my emanage before i can put it on, then to a tune...

Re: Gude Performance Throttle Body (Bullfrog)

So i got this installed.
I can actually feel the throttle response has been increased alot. This also made my skunk2 exhaust sound abit different, you can hear it is abit louder and the tone is abit different.

It bothers me how the exhaust makes a weird sound and the rpm stays at the same rpm for like 1 millisecond right after i push the clutch in.

Anyone know why that happens?
